Spotlight Token

With the relaunch of the studio in November 2025, we launched the $SPOTLIGHT token which is the "hub token" for our studio.

As a product studio with regular launches, we needed to design a capital structure well-suited to both short-term and long-term capital. We have investors and community members who believe in the studio and want long-term exposure to it. We also have users, investors and community members who may only want to participate in a new launch without broader exposure to the studio.

That's why we introduced a new primitive called hub tokens. $SPOTLIGHT is the core capital asset for the studio and any future token launches will drive value to the hub token in some form or another, whether that be via a liquidity pairing, a burn-to-buy model, a buy-to-burn model, etc.

As an example, if we launch token $XYZ, we may require investors to burn $SPOTLIGHT to acquire it. Alternatively, we may create a liquidity pool for $XYZ paired against $SPOTLIGHT, where price appreciation in the drop token requires accumulation of the hub token.

There are many ways we can effect some kind of token sink for the hub token while simultaneously giving the drop token a path to independent value accrual. And we look forward to exploring them.

Token Supply​

$SPOTLIGHT is an 100b total supply token launched via Clanker. The allocation is as follows:

  • 50% deployed to permanently liquidity in Uniswap V4
  • 25% available for exchange to holders of appcoins previously launched by Spotlight
  • 5% allocated to Farcaster exclusive airdrop at launch
  • 20% to studio treasury

Exchange Mechanism​

To reward holders of appcoins from our studio's previous projects, we are offering an exchange mechanism to convert old tokens into the new token. Clanker enforces a mandatory 7 day waiting period to claim and allocate tokens held in reserve. We will promptly make the exchange contract available after the waiting period. Exchange will be available for a year.
